Default Rennline rear tie down - torque specs

I installed the front and rear Rennline tie down on my 7.1 GT3 but couldn't find the torque specs anywhere about tightening the rear cross-member bolts. I found a thread in the 991 GT3 section but the diagrams are not quite the same. The bolts were tight as hell and hard to loosen, so I tried to crank them back tight. . . !

Anyone have the rear cross-member bolt torque handy? Do people replace the bolts when installing these tie downs?

Thanks in advance.

That is not where I would mount the tie down on the rear. I would mount them where the cross member bolts to the side frames. I think the bolt torque on the cross member to side frame is around 80 ft-lbs, but I will check my log book tonight and let you know.

The torque spec on the M12x1.5 bolts (cross member to side frames, and diagonal braces to cross member) is 81 ft-lb.

Agreed, do not put the tie downs at that location.

Oh! Good to know and thank you. Would either of you have a picture with the mount in the correct location?

I found the 991 thread on these tie downs and there's a post from RENNLINE suggesting that the location I installed is correct (or at least correct for 991)??? See thread below:

Now, I'm really confused!

This is also a photo from rennline. This is the location I used. These are on the Fore/aft bolts that secure the engine cradle into the subframe.

AutoWerks, ... So to be clear,... if we use smq42's pic from his first post, are you showing this bolt? (yellow pointer) ?

I may want to do this someday too,... so thanks in advance for the clarification.

Use the yellow mounting point or you'll bottom out on everything!

The yellow mounting point location doesn't work for the red lines at least not on my car because the location is recessed. I used the red locations, not worried about bottoming out as they'll only be on long enough for me to trailer my car to Nova Scotia and then I'll take them off. Yes I know I am resurrecting the threat I like it it's neater that way
