Sport Chrono package on a 997 GT3

Hi All

I'm in the market for my first GT3, I have been looking at some 997.1 GT3's. I want to know how important it is to have sport chrono package. I'm coming from a 14 C4S and with the PDK, I much prefer to have the sport chrono. But is it the important in the manual car? How will it effect resale down the road?

Thanks for any info.

If I had a way to cleanly rip my chrono package off the dashboard, I would hand it over to you for free. It does nothing for this car except cause people to say "hmm... is that a clock? why does it have a single hand?"

NO need at all. I've had both and having it looks like crap...

Never used it, other than to see if it works! :corn:

Pretty useless and ugly IMO but hard to find cars without. After finding good model, mileage, DME, maintenance hx, color, and prior owner(s) at budget price point this would not likely be the feature that would decide purchase or not.

it is immaterial, not a useful feature

kinda cute to see the analog clock face but i never use it

Cleaner without. No window glare. If a dermatologist saw it they would declare it precancerous and excise...

I’m glad mine doesn’t have it.

Personally, I seek out cars that don't have it.

I agree with most members on here; ugly, useless, and make your dashboard cleaner without it. Glad my car doesn't have one.

"most members" maybe,.... but I think the dash looks naked without it, and I enjoy seeing it break up the otherwise flat looking dash,... plus I NEVER see it when I'm driving... never any glare, nor do I ever look there purposely while driving.

plus it matches the dash clock in my 2012 958 Turbo Cayenne,... I enjoy that too.

so while guys seem to enjoy chiming in to say they're glad theirs doesn't have it,... I'll throw my opinion in too and say that I love the fact that mine does.

Well you also like the historically unloved wide body 964!

ha! Just kidding Steve, I do too!
