Default My New(to me) 997.1 GT3 RS

Yesterday I purchased my personal dream car, a 997.1 GT3 RS. Picked it up from CNC in a 3 for 1 trade. CNC took my 2018 Raptor, my 2016 GT4 and my 2004 SL500. Personally, this is the craziest car deal I've ever managed to put together, but CNC was super easy to work with. Great experience, couldn't be happier.

I'm sure the owner of this car is on here, if anybody knows who it belonged to would love be put in touch. Want to know if he pinched the coolant lines, seems like a car that's hit the track.

PCCB we're painted orange by previous owner so I'll be putting those back to OEM yellow, going to have it paint corrected and should be done. Pending coolant lines are already welded..

Raptor is honestly my favorite daily I've ever owned, but I just bought my Grandpa's truck he bought new in 1994, a Silverado 2500 long bed with 40k miles. He passed in 2003, my Grandma kept the tuck and is now willing to part with it and selling it to me. So, I really didn't need 2 giant pick-ups in LA. And I'd rather have my Grandpa's so.. The Raptor will go to a new home that I hope somebody will love thoroughly

Congratulations!! That car was torturing me. I was definitely trying to talk myself into/out of going back to CNC for it after getting a C2S there a year prior! Nice pick up.

EDIT:
I went away and then immediately wondered why you would go from a GT4 to a 997.1 GT3RS?
Not that is is a bad decision, I am just interested on your take. My cousin went from a 997.1 GT3 to a 718 GTS, so of course, I was interested in his reasoning going in the opposite direction but his 718 is his daily and his other 2 Porsches are more for fun times...so different situation but still, as someone who has had a GT4 and now a 997.1 GT3RS, I'd be interested what your take is on both in relation to each other.

I was going to go take a look at that car but the black was keeping me back. Seemed like a great price for a nice car. Hoping you got cash out of that deal

I was thinking that too, hope the OP got cash out of that deal or CNC really won big time on that trade.

For me, going from the GT4 to this didn't feel like I was going in the opposite direction at all. Personally, the 997.1 RS has been my "dream car" basically since new but 12years ago I was 22 and couldn't pinch 2 pennies together. To this day, it has remained my favorite RS car of modern day and although I really loved my GT4 I never felt like i had the true Porsche experience that is owning a 911. For me, this one was priced well enough to justify pulling the trigger. And I can assure you that after driving it the last 2 days in no way to I regret my decision!

Awesome. I like to hear people's thoughts on this stuff. Congratulations. I hope to see you around. I am in Pasadena and also got my car at CNC. Their trade in offers are definitely solid from my experience too. Enjoy!!
