TPMS issue >>

Bought new tires and had the sensor swapped out since the tires were going to be off and the sensors were a few years old and starting to lose contact.

The shop ordered new sensors from tire rack. They are 433 MHz and come up under my make and model year on the site. They don’t work. The shop bought a new set and installed those and they also don’t work.

Is there something else other than the broadcast frequency that I’m missing here? Does anyone know the exact make and model of the correct sensors for a 2007 GT3 997.1?

Did some more research. Seems our cars need 433mhz made by Huff. RDE001 (with auto relearn function). This is specific to the GT3 2007-2008.

I purchased these years ago and they seemed to work, but batteries died quickly:

I bought these this time:

Fingers crossed these work. Tirerack blew it twice!

Good find Andrew, thxs. I have to think mine will need replacement before too long. Was thinking about installing new ones next time I need fresh rubber. I'll bookmark this thread.

Both sets you purchased from OEWheels are listed as having Porsche fitment. However, OEWheels does not recommend them specifically for a 2007 GT3. I have also had trouble with the non-GT3 Porsche sensors sold by OEWheels.

This is what I use:

I just replaced the TPMS sensors in my '07 GT3 with this VW/Audi part and it works: 4D0 907 275C.

I chatted with a rep on their site and he suggested the ones that i purchased over the ones that the site filter recommended. go figure. can't wait to get this wrong for a third time!

Had a similar problem as you. Tire pressure worked fine then bought new wheels, tires with new pressure transmitters and they didn’t work. Went to dealer and they diagnosed a control unit needs replacement which didn’t make much sense. Fortunately the unit wasn’t in stock and I left on my long weekend trip with friends with my new wheels and tires. During the 1500 mile trip my tire pressures came back! I suggest, you just take your car on a longer trip and you might be as lucky as I am. Give it a try.

wow. i'm clocking in at over 100 miles on these sensors and no love. do i need to go more?

andrewgt3 05-24-2019 06:18 AM

These worked for the 997.1: https://www.oewheelsllc.com/TT-9971-...0b017b0a24060c

After three miles the lights went out and another two miles later they all registered pressures successfully (accurately too, I might add).

Hope this helps.

I just turned them off. More trouble than they are worth

Same here. I religiously check my air pressures the old fashioned way. Having an air compressor in all 3 garages helps!
