I do feel bad for the buyers and I'm glad they all seem to have been made whole at least financially... But talk about #991Problems... Go hug your 997, folks.

I love these cars to death but this whole scramble for allocations/deposit/preferential treatment BS really leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I'm sure for the 991 GT3/RS crowd that got caught up. What a black eye on Champion for lack of oversight in their own business. 997 FTW!

This is my local dealer; I've bought a few cars there, including a GT3, but from another sales guy.
The 997.1 GT3 to which the OP referred has been sitting there awhile, and was originally listed at $105,900. Is the DME seriously bad news? I'd like to find a 997.1 at some point, but am not interested in black.
They also have some very interesting used cars in stock, including an RS 4.0, Carrera GT and original 1960s Ford GT.

so the DME reads NOTHING. no record of over-revs - or anything for that matter. likely the reason its been sitting so long - its a beautiful car and priced well, I personally wouldnt touch it with the ECU swapped.

alot of 991.2 manual GT3 owners trading out of their cars and getting into carrera T.
“I traded my 2018 MT GT3 for my T....couldn't be happier. As a track toy the GT3 is phenomenal, but as a fun all around toy car ( Drive to work, Track, pick up Chinese, hit the twisty back roads etc) the T is my favorite Porsche of any I've owned.”

No question! Complete hero cars. Personally I think the 991 chassis was made for PDK. I had a 2015 GT3 and the rpms were intoxicating. I’m sure the manual is slick as heck but it just doesn’t seem right to me. If you want a three pedal car go back a Gen. Now I can’t see myself in a 991 chassis again. Except for the allure of that damn GT2! Thank god I can’t afford one..

agreed on all counts (although I have not owned a 991 GT)...
But back on the Sookralli topic,... my circle of P cohorts were speculating on whether the new EV Taycan would end up following suit with dealers charging ADM's for the privilege to be the first on the block with one. Of course we can expect the Taycan to first come out with the lower end variations (to give themselves some immediate room to grow / release more powerful, more luxurious models soon after the initial launch),..... which begs the question on whether dealerships & brokers could get away with ADM's even on the lower end initial release models. I think so.
I suspect we will indeed see this same activity,... although it may take new course from the deviously crafty,... in the form of newly devised scheme's to con $$ from the unsuspecting. We shall see.
