What would you guys pay for a higher mileage 997 GT2?

Congratulations on the GT2. You have Dan Jacobs near you and that is great.
FWIW: in 2006 Porsche was recommending the midnight blue metallic with the natural brown leather interior on the TT. I bit bullet and ordered the 2007TT in those colors and really loved the color. It was black to blue to purple...it is the only car that my wife still talks about!

Congrats to both you guys. It's nice to see people happy with GT2s. They weren't beloved to put it kindly when I owned mine. 944, love the first pic. Looks perfect. I want your RS bad Steve my GT2s were in Excellence probably a dozen times. Good luck getting her in!
Here's my second which we used for the GT3 GT2 CGT drive.......

My 997 was black like my first GT2. My first was the second or third in the US. It was tough to pin down....
That's the day I picked it up in October 2001 before I was able to rip that plate off JBO

So bizarre to me that these cars were not loved when new...it's SUCH a special 911 after all. Happy Memorial Day to you all, I'm taking the GT2 out to see a movie today with my wife.

Been driving mine all weekend. Having a lot of fun. My 2010 RS will be for sale soon. It's at Porsche dealer getting engine out maintenance done, lines pinned and actuator bolts secured. Want to make sure it's perfect before I put it for sale.

Congrats on the purchase! Looks great.

A Midnight Blue GT2 is a very rare bird. I'm all over that and your Green RS. BTW Midnight Blue landed in 1995. I have seen it on a 964 so it may have technically dropped before but talk about pushing colors. Search around on 95 993s and you'll find Midnight Blue everywhere. On GT2s and GT3s it's rare as hell. Steve, Here's what your wheels would have looked like a decade ago when your car was new. From 2004-08 starting with the GT3 RS this is what you got when you spec'ed wheels painted exterior color or wheels painted black....
Most everyone hates them, except me, so please refrain from blasting them. I have thin skin today JBO

Good on you for prepping the car so well for the next owner. Not that they're similar but curious to hear your impressions of GT2 vs 3.

The 3.8 RS is playful and alive all the time, at any speed. It is the ultimate dance partner, and I feel like it always gives everything to make you shine.
The 997 GT2 is more like an on/off switch. It's happy to putt around, but switches to KILL mode in a much more dramatic way when you enter the power-band. The brake pads I have (Pagid RS27) on steel discs make for a different experience here and I'm warming up to the Numeric Racing shifter but I feel that my GT2 takes considerably more mental effort to drive than my 3.8 RS (which is completely stock except for a SharkWerks center muffler by-pass). I just set the shifter on the longest throw setting and prefer it much more, and feel it's still a shorter throw than the OEM shifter.
The GT2 feels like a more serious proposition, and one that doesn't suffer fools...but I'm saying that more as someone with a bit of seat time rather than someone who has become the fool! I have not overstepped it's considerable boundaries yet, but feel that things will be pretty serious if I ever do.
Very different cars, but both truly MAGNIFICENT!

Well said. I’ve driven the GT3RS a lot faster than I’ve dared to drive the GT2. GT3RS feels more predictable with a nice long power band. GT2 has a ton of power that just comes on instantly, which I think will take some time to get used to. GT2 exhaust is pretty quiet, GT3RS is very loud which helps connect you during the drive.
I realize you didn't ask me but I've been thinking about it a lot. They are extremely different cars, and thus the end result is that you feel differently about them.
