I'm in the Memorial area.
The Riveria blue is different. Not many 997.2 RS cars did CXX. Wasn't as popular then as now. I think there is one other car with the factory blue accents. As I understand it, the original owner wanted it to look like the 996 RS.
My wife calls the car Smurfette (blue/white/yellow brakes and seat belts), so I got the plate.

Would love to see it in person someday. I'm in Bellaire but try to get out to some of the local events. C&C is right by you. Now that I'm back in a Porsche, I'll also try to get to the first Saturday PCA meet at Paper Co.

Sounds great!
The car is at PNH currently getting the pipes pinned and some service done. It has an interesting history (at least to me). The second owner put a vinyl wrap over the entire car and so when it came off, the original paint/stickers looked great. We saw some evidence of this when we did the PPF (pieces of vinyl under tail lights). It has 16k miles, but looks like it has 4k. Most of the mileage was put on the car when the second owner it back and forth to some car facility in NYC, I'm told. It has a non-factory roll bar in the back that is also painted riveria blue, but everything else is stock. The second owner had also swapped out the brakes to steel and then never tracked the car. But the original ceramics were lost. It took months to source a new set at a reasonable price. This is my second 997.2. I had one and sold it. Big mistake. Then I found this one, so it all worked out.
Happy to meet up when she's back. I drive it around a fair bit. Never been to C&C, but I should do one of the PCA events.

C&C at Memorial City is a bit of a cluster as of late, but the 1st Saturday PCA meet is a nice intimate size with a good assortment of air and watercooled cars. Maybe plan on going next month?

I'd wait. Mine has alot more miles than yours. I'm doing mine as a precaution. I'd planned on trading mine in this summer and now I've decided to keep her indefinitely, so I decided to eat the cost and get it done. It's really my favorite car (not because of the stickers, just the 997.2 RS in general). My car was not CPO'd and has no warranty. It was slightly too old to CPO when I bought it last summer.
PCA sounds like a winner.

Pinning as a precaution or have you had the dreaded pipe failure? (I had it on my old 997TT, so I'm all too familiar). I probably should get it done along with a harmonic dampener as these are the two issues I'm most concerned about. But, car is CPO'd for 2 years, so I'll probably wait until then (knock on wood, no issues) to pull the motor.

My car was also in Calif then Texas. When I sold the car this past fall it had about the same mileage, I sold it with a new set of side graphics not installed and it had red brakes and no roll bar. Ironically I originally bought the car from Porsche of North Houston

Sounds like it could have been my car aside from the brakes. Mine has always had PCCB's to my knowledge. Car originated in CT, I believe went to Huntington Beach and then sold again through Byers in Ohio.
