Default Half cage / front cage -how come no Heigo?

Hi all,

Just wondering how come no one has mentioned Heigo as an option? I have heard Clubsport (OEM Semcon), GMG, BBi etc...but never Heigo...

Many thanks,

Coop

I am not swayed by the delay to be honest. I was more curious about strength and quality of HEIGO vs Semcon and the likes...

Depends what Heigo you go with. Heigo is okay (stay away from the aluminium cages though), Porsche used them in the past and indeed they do make their cages with a FIA approved diameter tubing and materials and they do offer a DMSB(formerly known as ONS) certificate.

But the cage they make for the 996/997 sold by cargraphic has neither of them.

It is internal Heigo type number 516.105. It is 38mm in diameter and 2.5mm in thickness. It weighs 38Kg and it is literally copied from Porsche's IVM/Semcon 997 GT3 generation one cage, the only difference is in the front section and side bar(s).

You may want to look at Safety Devices as well -OK for some race bodies, including club IIRC

I would like another "X" behind the seat if poss. Looking at Safety Devices, I do not think they have this option. BBi full cage is ideal ; ). Thank you anyway rbahr.
