Thanks for the replies, will look into a new set of PS4S's
@RAudi Driver, Nice RZ350. I just picked up a Suzuki RGV250R, needs a lot of work before it looks half as nice as yours though....

Sadly, I expect never. Each time a new tire comes out, there is lengthy online discussion (usually regarding Michelin) of who heard from some tire rep about N spec for older models... and then nothing happens.
I don’t know why, but my suspicions in order:
1. Porsche has no interest investing in N-spec proving for out of production models
2. Porsche requires continued production of old N-spec for so many years (as proven by new date codes on ancient N-spec models), so manufacturers need to ensure these are sold
3. Manufacturers don’t think anyone will care after warranty
There would be a solid market for a new 997 tire... especially as the 305/30-19 size was common across so many models inc non-RS GT3.
So if you must have N in something that’s more amenable to 3 seasons, then you’ve got Bridgestone RE050 N1 or Pirelli P Zero N2...both of which are still being produced according to date stamps on the tires.
If I wasn’t in Europe right now with my car, where I can continue to extend the warranty out until it’s 14 years old, I wouldn’t care the least about N-spec.
