Does anyone have the part number for the 4.0rs carpet. I've heard it's lighter and less sound deadening than standard 997 gt3 carpet.

I just checked PET, there is no 4.0-specific part in the carpet section anywhere, except for the badge in the back...

Like I said, call Suncoast. They can source the 4.0 specific carpet and yes it is different from the 3.8 carpet. Worth the difference?; probably not.

I shaved my GT2 carpets a while back. Filled a garbage bag full of the heavy rubberized foam insulation, right at 13 lbs worth. I am not sure how the 3.8 and 4.0 carpeting compares but I do know the GT2 and TT carpets are a different construction with the GT2 ones being lighter because the carpet portion is thinner. This is on a 996 but the carpets are the same between the 6 and 7.

Did anybody find a part number for this? Probably a lot of dollars just to save a few pounds but I'm curious to see how much it costs if available .
