You have a 997 GT3 - any other 911’s?
Hey guys, just picked up a 997.2 GT3 - should be getting here next week.
I currently daily an F80 M3 Manual and I’m looking to replace it soon. It’s been a wondeful car and I’ve driven it extremely hard. It’s got down pipes and stage 2 tune and it’s a blast to drive. As much as I love my m3, I’ve had her for nearly 4 years now and I’m looking to spice things up a bit.
I have an m5 competition on order but are considering cancelling due to the dreaded depreciation curve that will take place.
I have 2 boys. (One born yesterday!) and I would like to have a Dad car that we can take and fit 2 car seats in. My first born is only 16 months old so the larger front facing car seats will be gracing my interior for the next few years.
My current fleet -
2010 997.2 GT3
1970 Nova 6-speed (protouring)
2015 BMW X5 35D (wife’s car)
2015 BMW M3 6-speed (daily)
1970 Chevy C10 (beater truck for Home Depot runs)
2014 Ducati 899
Are any of you sporting several 911’s? I’m considering a 50th anniversary but I’m not sure if it’s “too similar” to the GT3 being NA. I personally love turbo cars, so maybe getting a used Turbo S might be better where both cars feel drastically different?
Mainly I would like to buy something that is replacing the M3 and is daily drivable but still provides massive fun.
Do you guys guys have both 991’s and 997’s?
Help !!!

991.1 targa 4S, PDK as my DD. With a winter wheel set and AWD, it makes for a great daily.
i would think, 991 Turbo S would be a helluva stablemate to GT3.

Thats what im really struggling with.
Id love a targa. I’ve dreamed of a targa. But would it be worth having both or just getting something totally different in power delivery and “feel” like a turbo.

Had a 997.1 Turbo that I enjoyed along side my 997.1 GT3 for a year.... then. Realized the only keys I grab are the GT3's every time.
However the R8 V10 Manual is the new sibling. It's get the keys equally as much.

Do you guys find the 964 c2's have enough power?

964 would be sweet but it doesn’t really fit car seats for my kids and my wife won’t want me to drive them in a less safe vehicle.
I love music and need a good stereo too which would be difficult to accomplish in 964.
perhaps a 2012 turbo S PDK or 2014 50th anniversary would compliment the 997.2 GT3?
