I have a 993 C2S to compliment my 997.2 GT3. Its good to have a air cooled to pair it with as they both do different things. But I will add a 991 if you want power.

I have a 968, and a Macan Turbo to compliment the GT3. I still drive 997.2 more than any other, fun factor!
The Macan is a great addition IMHO, it's a tank, but flies with the 400+hp. I do 2, 1700 mile trips in it every year..
It's quiet, fast, smooth, and can haul more gear than any 911, and babies too.. Just saying!!

No fair, Steve - you have ALL the 911s!

I have another GT3, 991.2, as well as a 1970E longhood. Had a 993 as well - it was the best daily driver.

Do you end up driving the 991.2 while having the 997 GT3? Curious what it’s like having both in the garage.

Now that ibe spent some seat time in my GT3 - i don’t find it harsh like many others have mentioned here. Perhaps due to my age and my previous car lineups, this is one of the more compliant cars I’ve driven. I’m afraid a 991.2 would leave more to be desired for my daily driver. I’m nearly to the point of saying, screw it, I’ll save a few months and just get a new GT3 to go with my 997 and daily drive the new one.

If the new new one is much more compliant than the old (comfort levels) then a 991.2 would feel like a Mercedes to me and that’s certainly livable on a daily basis. It would probably feel weird having 2 GT3’s though and not any other Porsche’s.

I have both the 964 and the 997.2 GT3. I love the combo so much. Best of both worlds. I think the only addition I want now is either a 3.2 or a earlier 911 outlaw type.

My 2 cents, I bought a 991.1S as a daily and HATED it. Sold it after 6 months. Felt large, and disconnected. Breaking point was the manufactured burbles when letting off gas. Awful.

Still feeling it out as the 991.2 is still pretty new (~200 miles). I'm considering parting with one, but I'll wait to see if the 991.2 can win me over. The 997.1 is such a special car.

I see you have a NEW GT3 - Love to hear your thoughts on how much you love it. Whether it would make you rid your 997.1 or if there's things left to be desired.

I'm assuming you got a manual...

I do love it...however like I said it’s only been a few hundred miles. I haven’t had the chance to break it in yet and really give it full beans.

My 997 3 is pretty special. I’ve thought about selling for some time, but just can’t bring myself to write the ad. I may end up keeping both, until I just don’t drive one.

Some photos of 911s I have in my signature below. Difficult to choose my favorite. Easier to choose my least favourite. - GT3 Touring.

i own 997.2 GT3 and i have to admit, its a very special car and you just smile everytime you drive it, to daily it would be difficult.
i also have 997.2 turbo PDK as daily, 991.1 3RS for track and 993 turbo for classic mood.
i have to admit that i'm a big 997 fan over 991 due to size, car driver connection and many reasons i cant explain!

I have a 997.1 GT3, a 964 C2 and a 1980 911 race car. But as far as street, the 7/3 and C2 are very different. Both semi-daily driven. 964 is small, stiff, loud and noticeably less power than the gt3. The gt3 is more refined but yet not necessarily any more or any less comfortable . I think the two compliment each other great. after a few days of not driving one or the other I start to miss them. But being an air cooled guy at heart the first to go would be the gt3.

I have a 997gt3rs and a 993tt. 993 is more fun on the road and a great compliment. Also have a 996rs and track set up 996gt3. I still think the feel of 996gt3 and 997gt3 is the sweet spot for Porsches. Enough power and nimblenesss to make them fun on track. On the road I don’t think they are that great. The 991gt cars are way more comfy on the road.
