Howdy,

Looking for a spare set of 3.8 or 4.0 end plates. Please PM and let me know what you have to unload. Thanks in advance!

They can't be more expensive than my POMO Cup Wing or OEM RS decklid or the two other OEM setups I purchased. In fact the vendor of the wing I bought had a set available. It's now obvious that passing on them was a mistake. However if I can't find a used set I'll just buy a new set of 3.8s. So I'll find them one way or another. Regardless I don't think my post was laughable JBO

I believe ilko was looking into having the 4.0 version replicated. I have an in house Haas CNC but no time at the present.

I just took a 1/4" thick piece of polycarbonate, cut the perimeter with the band saw, full rounds on all edges with the router, then template the recessed area and routed. I haven't painted yet but they came out pretty precise.

Yeah, those look about right for the 3.8. But I'm after 4.0. Bigger plates! Seems there is a market for them, now if someone would just step up and make them...

So I'm I correct based on laughs and silence that all 3.8 and 4.0 end plates are NLA and OOP? Or is that just the for the 4.0 end plates. I apologize of the stupid questions but this is my first 997 for a decade. I'm very very out of the loop not a complete imbecile Thanks. JBO. PS Those polycarbonate 3.8 plates look great!

They show as NLA but some parts suppliers can source them out. Last time I checked they were around $3,500 for the pair, LOL.

Are you guys pulling my chain? Two end plates are $3500?! OK that is lunacy. Who can source them? PMM if it's confidential. Also is it possible to run RS endplates on a Cup Wing Blade? Or is the curvature size boolt spacing etc. different? Thanks again?

The part numbers for the 4.0 end plates are 997 512 464 90 and 997 512 464 91. Currently Sunset shows them as discontinued but ECS Tuning and Pelican Parts both show that they can get them... And they are slightly less than $3,500 for the pair. Slightly. Pelican were able to find a 993 RS part for me last year that was NLA everywhere else, so I would order with them. They also offer a 10% PCA discount. If you decide to pull the trigger I know of a couple of places that can create replicas (but need to borrow the originals for molds). I would be happy to pay you a finder's fee for your efforts, as I'm sure others here will be too, which would make the cost of the originals more bearable.

You can't run the RS end plates on the Cup wing blade. Holes don't match and the wing element and the Cup wing is wider so they would look ridiculous anyway

I know it would look a bit silly but if they don't fit the point is moot. I have Cup uprights and endplates. And I have RS uprights. I suppose I'll buy an RS.2 wing blade and endplates. I want to have the option to run a high Cup configuration and a lower RS configuration. Unless someone wants my RS.2 uprights. I have a set that appears to never have been mounted. Perfect shape. Best JBO

Not possible to run on cup wing blade if you want them in idea position. Hence why I had to drill and relocate the holes on the cup end plates to use them on the RS wing

That's why ultimately I need your wing Frankly I will just sell the RS uprights. It's too much $$$ to make this two setup idea work. And frankly my SuperCup wing is growing on me. Now that it's fully dialed with my gurney flap I'm into it. I dig it on adi's car and it's growing on me on mine. Ultimately I want your wing but at $4-5K used and $3500 for the end plates I don't want it $10K bad Thanks guys. Good data. I appreciate it. Best JBO

Cup end plates arent 3500, they are cheap, and they are tremendously more effective than street end plates
