Rare Shades: If in Monterey this August…
000 and @ptsrs invite you to join us for a cup of coffee at Rare Shades on Thursday, 8/23 at the Canepa Motorsport Museum—a beautiful, hour-ish drive north from Monterey Car Week on one of its quieter days.
General admission is open to all, with free parking available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you wish to display your Porsche in the dedicated parking area for PTS and unusual factory color cars, please register at 000magazine.com/rare-shades (registration includes some cool 000 swag).

For all of us black and silver Porsche owners, we'll be having a show at the exact same time and date down at the loading docks where they chuck all the expired live bait. Plenty of pickled cabbage, roasted beets and day old coffee for everyone.

Show for black and silver non-RS GT3's will be a week later. Same location as above. Assemble after dark so as to hide your ordinaryness. Please bring sufficient leftovers to share with others. Hose bib available to refill your travel mug. Please attend to personal sanitation req'mts prior to arrival at event.
Kidding aside, this sounds like a great event. You guys do all the cool stuff in Cali.

Lol you cats with black and silver cars. I have a red car—non factory red, no less—and have a thing for both black and silver Porsches. Come join us for some free coffee and hang time anyway...something tells me there will plenty of room for everyone...

Hey everyone,
Just a friendly reminder that registration for next week's event closes this Thursday. We've currently got more than 40 Porsches registered in "Rare Shades" (PTS and unusual colors), and everyone else is of course invited to bring any and all Porsches for free, with parking up to 150~ cars on a first come, first serve basis.
If you still want to register, you can do so here for $30 (includes special 000 hat and event poster):

Corsa Lusso will be serving coffee on site, and we'll have free local pastries as well.
Hope to see you!

just back home after checking out cars that were actually driven to Canepa for the Rare Shades event.
guess being PTS will offset some of the value drop from actually putting miles on them.
i'll post up some pics in a bit.
