So I found it a major pain in the *** to find the correct combination of tools and procedure to remove and torque the transmission fill bolt

That;s cool,

not exactly the same thing but I plan to swap my engine drain bolts with the quick drain Fumoto valves during the next oil change... may your suggestion will be the next thing in line for me.

the drain on the 997 is super low...now sure I'd want to do that (and I run fumoto on other cars)

They have one without a nipple, plan to install that on the tank, the crank case plug is sideways so it shouldn't matter. Do you think the one without a nipple is still too low?

oh you're right, I got the oil tank mixed up with the case. double checked and the case is on the side. should be no big deal!
