Sport Plus on GT3
Does anyone know if you can add the Sport Plus software and button to a 2010 GT3 (997.2). I always see just the Sport and PASM buttons. Has anyone used the COBB programing tool to add engine mappings? Also, does anyone know if you can add the front axle lift system on a GT3 that didn't have the option installed?
I'm closing a deal on one soon so I just wanted to ask these questions for see if anyone has any input to share.
Thanks
Rick

You can add all sorts of buttons, like "beer pump" and "disco ball switch".. none of it will affect how the car drives.
On a serious note, I have seen aftermarket lift systems advertised before.

Are you thinking of having a secondary "sport plus" aka higher performance map that you can switch to after having it programmed via the Cobb AP? On NA motors like the 7.2, there's not much that you can really do to safely crank up the power over and above what you would get with a standard tune. It's not like a turbo motor where you can just crank the boost or something.

Rick, 997 GT3 came standard with a Sport button even if it wasn't ordered with Sport Chrono as an option. SC when ordered added some software widgets in the NAV and if you ordered SC you had to get NAV and the much reviled dashboard wart.
Are you thinking that Sport and/or Sport Plus change engine mapping? Because they do not. Sport only changes the throttle input ratio to the pedal (50% pedal depression is WOT in Sport). It might change PSM and PASM sensitivity/settings on GT3 too but I'm not sure about that. Others here may know.

Sport plus in a gt3 is called entering a corner at max grip on the edge of slip and hitting apex and just kissing the dirt on exit. And doing it again. And again. And again.
