Continental Extremecontact Sport or Michelin 4s
I'm considering the Continental Extremecontact tires or Michelin 4s-both are fairly new, one thing I noticed is the Continentals weigh 20.5 lbs, Michelins 22.22 lbs-

Michelin's website had limited specs:

8" - 9.5"

22.22 lbs
Are Continentals made in Germany btw? Looking for a close-up picture-
Any opinions on these much appreciated. Seems less people have had a chance to try the Continentals since they are newer-

I found this article about the new Contis very interesting: http://www.motoiq.com/MagazineArticl...act-Sport.aspx
However, it compares them to the outgoing PSS, not the 4S. The 4S is apparently a much better tire than the PSS...

I really like the PS4S, no experience with the others.

I have a set of the Conti on my 993 - they seem good, but I have limited miles on them. Frankly, on the street, they are more than one needs.
To Ilko's post, they are said to compare very favorably to the outgoing PSS (which is a tire everyone absolutely raved about). Also a few $$ cheaper, and perhaps even better in wet.
I will probably try a set on the GT3 as rain/cold weather track tires, for times when I need to make a run to and from the track on 1 set of wheels.
Cheers

Oh, and if you are running 18's, appropriate sizes are not even available (yet?) in the Michelin 4S.
Even the Contis only will do a 295/35 in 18" (widest). OK for my 996 Gt3 though... I'll be ordering a set as cold/wets.
Cheers

I had a pair of Conti Extreme Contacts awhile back on a C63 AMG Black and absolutely wanted to throw them in the garbage - you just could not work the tire and keep power down with them. Ive been a big fan of Michelin's on all sports cars for years, and will continue to do so.
Just my opinion, but figured it was worth sharing as I've been right there with you in deciding!
