2011 GT3 RS tool kit

This is why I love this forum! I just learned where my centerlock tool is located. Even though it is freezing cold outside, I had to go out to the garage and uncover the .2 enough to check that the centerlock tool is where Mooty said it was.
Now, next question: just got a 991.1 GT3. The centerlock tool on that car pops open to reveal a separate tool enclosed. Does the 997.2 centerlock tool pop open, too? I tried to fool with it a bit, but didn't want to mess it up. Are the centerlocks structurally the same for both the 997.2 and the 991.1? Thanks for the clarification.

^ 997 CL tool doesn't POP OPEN
991 tool inside CL is the thing that pulls out the wheel cap (iirc)
i do not know structurally if the CL system are identical bn 997b /991 but the CL tool is interchangeable. i have used 991 on 997 and vice versa.

^ correct, but you can buy the tool (991) from dealer, it's cheap. and believe me, you WANT THAT TOOL
if you dont, you will gouge the CL cap for SURE. if you have the tool, it REDUCES but doesnt eliminate the gouging....
YES, i speak from experience ;-)
