Default New inserts for my GT2 buckets

Just picked these up from the upholsterer. Reproduction of Pasha fabric used in the early 80s on the 911, 914 and 928. Quite pleased with how they turned out.

Thanks Josh. I got the fabric from here: sierramadrecollection.com/Pasha-Checkerboard-Fabric-for-Front-Seat-Covers-p31368.html

You can also buy them here (whether or not there's a difference between the two, I'm not sure): http://www.lakewell.com/en/general/f...rboard-fabrics

Where abouts in Canada are you?. Was thinking of doing a insert too. I've used 2 upholstery shops that came recommended... one was pretty good. One was a disaster ..

Thanks for the referrals. I did tartan centers on my GT3 buckets but I've always wanted to do something with the Pasha material. Good stuff! Josh

I went to a Ted Nugent concert in Toronto in 1981. He wore pants like that!
Great concert.

VFC! Very cool!
It looks as though you made solid cushions out of the separate cushion blocks (for lack of a better description). Makes sense. Otherwise you'd have had to break up the psychedelic pattern. Were the foam blocks glued together or did you have new blocks made?

I thought I was really happy with the leather cushions, but I might just do this too. Really nice!

Good eye! And you are correct--the upholsterer went ahead and made new cushion blocks (2 total: 1 back/lumbar; 1 seat/butt) likely to simplify the job and to also make the pattern look a little more uniform.

Another RL member had these inserts made for his Boxster Spyder using the stock/OEM cushion sizes, and you can see how that turned out here: https://rennlist.com/forums/987-981-...l#post13743624.

Personally, I like the simpler, cleaner look of mine more (if you can even use the world simple to describe these inserts). No loss of comfort using 2 cushions either--drove an hour and didn't notice any difference.
