Rey, Your Atlas 996 looks awesome! The color suits the car really well. I had black, seal and red 996s and I think dark colors look the best. The Evo tune really works if you have access to 91 octane or betterr gas and a less restrictive exhaust. JBO

EDIT: looked at the ads again and noticed the list of mods on the Meteor car. Obviously if you prefer a stock car this might give you some hesitation. These are all good mods. Not sure about the EVOMSIT tune though. How much do these cars benefit from it?

Love your 996 GT3. Will these mods bring down the resale value in the future when I sell it? I think it's mainly the flywheel and the diff. The tune might be easy to reverse.

Default Factory Cage?

That's the Tequipment cage in the grey car, correct?

Edit - looked at it again - it looks like the RSS 930 roll bar, which makes sense since Sharkwerks did a lot of work on the car.

i'd go grey one, or the $120K white GT3 with the 3.9L kit in it

yellow won't appeal to many in resale.

As long as they are of equal structural and cosmetic integrity for their respective miles, my thoughts would render the following.

The yellow is used
The gray is almost new.

I would take the yellow only if discounted 20k below the gray. Clutch wear/ brake wear/suspension wear / paint wear/ interior wear / engine wear / starter wear / radiator wear etc etc.

No comparison but with a 20k discount - equal playing field and any decision would be fine to live with.

anyone discounting yellow is shortsighted (IMO)

it's almost like saying mexico blue pts will be a hard re-sale....senseless to me

honestly - the last thing the word needs is another gray/silver porsche - my first GT3? arctic silver.

only other color I hate worse? blue. current GT3 - cobalt blue.

sometimes it's more about the car, than the color it happens to be sporting

Depends in the buyer. I wouldn't buy a yellow car, thus it is worth less to me

I have a pristine Meteor Gray, and I put a red RS roll bar in just for the cool factor, and that bar mounts to the seat belt mounts on the floor, and the shock towers in the rear.. I bought a trim piece made for the bar in the back, so I didn't have to cut any holes in the carpet. Looks cool, you might as well leave the bar in anyway unless you plan on hauling groceries or mulch.

I see the grey one at SF Sports Cars is sale pending again.
Did the OP grab it?

Well, yes, I put a deposit on the car but am glad I performed a PPI. It seems that the bumper, hood and two fenders have been repainted (well hidden under a clear bra!). I suspect a track related incident but one never knows. No structural damage and car passed the PPI well otherwise, but this is a big red flag. Clearly, the integrity of the seller is at stake here for not being upfront with me (how could they have not known?), but alas, this is the car business after all.

The question here is, should I move on or try to negotiate a steep discount and if so, what would be the 'right' price?
Thank you!

Yes I saw it.... I am planning on financing part of the purchase through my credit union so it will be tough to pull off with an out of state auction...
