Guys, I've had several people PM me over the past few months about the end plates. I was also contacted by a manufacturer who can help get us what we want if there is enough demand so I'm resurrecting this thread.
Can I get a show of hands of people who would be interested in a set of 4.0 wing end plates at a "reasonable cost"?
Thanks!

Maybe have a tier 1 and tier 2 group buy level? Ask the producer.
BTW Ilko, off topic, but any idea if there's anyone who could also recreate the BaronRS+3 uprights? I really want to raise my wing 3 inches and I know Baron went AWOL according to Sharkwerks when I last asked.

Thank you guys! Working on the exact dimensions of the 4.0 end plates now so that they can be recreated. If anyone has access to a car that can take measurements that would be greatly appreciated!
With regard to the uprights, let me ask... I ended up using the cup car uprights on my car. Came out pretty decent. And they are technically factory parts

Hey Ilko- any luck with this one? every time i walk by the car I think about those end plates. I'm happy to build them very accurately in 3d cad if anyone in the northern NJ/NYC area has one (if that even helps with your manufacturers). I just need an hour to trace and take some measurements.

Thank you for keeping this alive. I am for sure "in" on dive planes only. Must be paintable..

It's been a while but bringing this thread back to life as I'm interested in the 4.0 end plates. Seemingly end plates are one of the toughest parts to get.
Can anyone chime in on feasibility and if it didn't happen - can we make it happen?

There’s a guy in the CGT forum that has been 3-d printing a few items for the GT (because of the either impossible pricing or lack of existence of certain items for the GT). I bought a set of his clips for the targa top straps. Those were completely unavailable w/out buying a 1200 complete strap, on back order. I assume you still need to find someone with a 4.0 that maybe is doing a full ppf to get a model wing plate? I’ll admit i wasn’t any help lending mine as a model because I’ve seen two guys break off the bolts while taking off 997 end plates. And I had my own 997.1rs that I wanted to wrap a different color; the tech working on it told me he was worried about the bolts breaking off due to how tough they were to break looks and how fragile the wing was they attached to. Who knows, maybe he was lazy and just wanted to wrap them on the car instead of taking off, IDK? Regardless, I chickened out on using my 4.0 plates as the model. But, if I can help at all by pointing you to the CGT forum for the lead on recent 3-d printing that has been done, maybe it could help? Good luck. Ilko, sorry I’m not more help!

Hi- yes. Ilko and I were able to replicate these. Ilko measured a set and I built them in 3d. Then went to a model shop to have them CNC'd from a block of polycarbonate. I don't recommend 3d printing because it won't have smooth surfaces. You can try to bondo and sand a 3d print but it's never going to be ideal. From memory they were about $350 per pair CNC'd. Then of course you're going to need to get them painted or paint them yourself. I painted them myself with a light scuff, primer and color matched paint from a rattle can (you can buy color matched paint online from your paint codes).
Side note- the screws on the end plates were very robust and the threaded inserts (in the RS wing) also seem very robust as well.
