I would take a GT2 RS any day. Would be a better run of GT2 RS against the new Turbo S. The Turbo S is insane in PDK. My GT2 is fast, but not that fast....

Walter rohrl did a comparison on a test track about the 997 GT2, 997 Turbo and 97 GT3. Its in german but the only thing I can read was 0-100 km GT2 3.2 sec, TT 3.6 and GT 4.2 sec.

The point is a 997.2 GT2 is fast.

But this video is surprising.

In line with expectations I would say.

Looks like the initial rolling speed is not favorable to the GT2. I also wonder about initial loss of traction since the GT2 was on what looked like the dirty part of the airfield. It's easy enough to trigger the crap antispin or get wheel spin in 2nd gear when traction is perfect in a non RS GT2 so when it's not perfect....

May be the GT3's side of the airfield was dirty to, impossible to tell from the video, but it would not be as big a loss to the GT3.

Like I've always said, you will never understand the thrill of a GT2 unless you own one. It is truly one of the best production cars they have ever built.

Yeah I would need another driver for sure. I know how that story would end. I cannot beat a computer.

I see the jeep in your sig and can't help but wonder, what did you think of the jeep stitch concept they showed at moab a few years ago and have you thought about building one?

I love it. That would be a fun toy. My next upgrade to the Jeep is to drop in a hemi. Mine weighs a ton with the Kevlar coating and steel front and rear bumpers/guards and winch. The v6 is not adequate imo and I keep it at my Vail home and it's a dog in the mountain air even with air box and exhaust upgrades. I will probably add the hemi in the next year or so. Then I will have my own 4 door version of the stitch.

My car. The PDK of the 991 is obviously faster than my right hand but I had a fresh rebuild gearbox and it was the first drive ever of the car so I think we were saved by pure power! Nailed a 991 Turbo S later the same day. GT2RS rules!

I've done a number of 0-175 1/2 mile races against a few GT2RSs and I've never lost in my 991 TTS. The 7.2 GT2RS is an incredible car, but it isnt a drag racer. By 1/2 mile, a "basic mods" 991 TTS puts 10-15 car lengths on a 991 GT3RS.

Sure, GT2RS has no chance vs 991 TTS from standstill. Horsepower can't beat AWD, PDK and a few more technical features in addition to a great engine in a great car! We're starting from 60 km/h...lots of comments on "jump starting" but those understanding Swedish will hear that the 991 let's me ahead in the start (to get a better camera angle).
