fabspeed mufflers with stock tips..too loose..

i just installed my fabspeed exhaust and i cant get my tips to fit..they fit too loose...with stock it was fine but now they fall off by hand when its tigjt all the way..

im using 991 tips on my 997 but they where fine with the stock mufflers...

any ideas??

Do you have a 3.6 and got a 3.8 exhaust or vise versa? The diameter is just a bit different. They make shims either way that will work fine.

its fabspeed they use 997s ...and the diffences is just a few mm..

I would contact fabspeed if you haven't. I am sure they will get you what you need.

You can get adapters.. the fvd ones are common.

There are cheaper alternatives out there

i have those already...only fit on 3.6 mufflers..fabspeed are already supose to be the same size as the 3.8...

difference is very minimal but enough where they dont clamp tight enough

Try a muffler strap or any other thing metal you can get at the hardware store. Wrap around the exhaust, cut to size, slid the tip over it.

Even a soda can would work.

There is a shim ring that fits between the tip and the muffler... I can't find it in the Katalog, but when you remove the tips they may still be stuck on the original muffler. May not be the issue, but worth checking.

Looks like this:
