Lightbulb Recommendations for body shops in Los Angeles?

Looking for a reputable shop to paint/install getty ducktail as well as a rear bumper for my 997.2 C2S. Hoping to find someone close to west hollywood or the westside. Thanks in advance!

I am going to try Custom Auto Craft on La Brea (new roof dent/paint loss)

Tried Ultimate Coachworks in Santa Monica with poor results, despite glowing reviews, guy had a stack of excuses of why he could not match base white (wrong angle, they all look like that, white can't be matched, time of day, let it cure, ect).

Hovees Auto Body in Chatsworth (SFV).

He did mine so he knows what's involved. Tell him Mike sent you.

Thanks guys. voiceprint - I've been considering custom auto craft as well. They've done a few repairs from insurance claims(leased cars) for me in the past and have done decent work. Never any cosmetic improvements though and this is my first 911 and want the work done right.

Socal - were you satisfied with the work Hovees did on your getty? Mind if I ask how much they charged you?

$1200 for install, block, paint, clearcoat. Mind you I paid the extra to Getty for finish. This was for the duck only. I also bought the harness from Getty as well and a new fan assembly from Pelican as I wanted to keep the stock deck lid as a plug and play. It's been a year and a half and it still looks new.

sorry to say I need to resurrect this thread due a carless driver smashing up my rear bumper and rim, need some further recommendations, I was going to use Custom auto craft, but might look around, he wanted 3k for a paint chip the size of half a dime.

DC autocraft. Price anywhere is going to be reflective of their work. Paint chip size of a dime is a repaint and blending adjacent panels.

Default Busted 997.1 need good bodyshop

Someone hit our driveway gate with the car behind and the back is all smashed in from the gate. So need a body shop in Los Angeles. This is the second time I need a body shop with this car. The first time I went to Eli collision center shop. it was a nightmare and the work they did was terrible. Would like to avoid bad experience this time. Also have full coverage so money no issue nothing out of pocket. What do you recommend?

I ended up using Innovative Auto Craft on beverly blvd, they did a good job matching the body to the fenders, and gave me a good deal on replacing my tires, they also installed the clear guards for free. I read up on Eli's as that is the closest shop to me, but I have seen that place in action, no thanks.

Eli's was my go-to shop for a long, long time, up until his kids took over. Now it's terrible work at a high price and they take FOREVER. I would avoid Eli's now at all costs.

Now, I go to Avio Coach Craft in West L.A. near the 405 and Olympic, and I've been happy with their work. Bryan over there does good work with a decent turnaround time and he knows 911s. Another place on La Cienega, maybe called Patrick's(?) also enjoys a good reputation in the 911 world

sorry to resurrect this again, but need a new shop for bumper replacement in LA area once again. Avio might be a good option, just not to close to my home.

Highly recommend http://ultimatecoachworks.com/

Gary the owner is great, incredibly knowledgable and very happy with their work. Price, quote was less vs. what I was quoted elsewhere as well.

Only negative he takes on cars on case by case basis since his shop is so small. Good luck

I tried Ultimate, he painted my white bumper a shade of beige and said it was "the way the light was hitting it" and "they are all like that", so I got him to get the old bumper out of the trash and weirdly it matched perfectly.

I don't know who Patrick is... but if you're thinking of the BEST PACC in Los Angeles, then that's me. And we are on La Cienega Ave. Humble too
Look me up, Collision Consultants
