997 GTS vs 991 turbo track battle

I still see some errors. I get it that you're defensive; you posted a video that you're proud of and got some negative feedback. Most would consider that something to learn from. You have good car control skills. You demonstrate them in the first video. You have several very experienced track junkies here and on the other thread saying that with a little instruction you'll be faster around the track. Take that for what it is; constructive criticism, instead of trying to justify that somehow you have stumbled upon the better way to drive a 911 around a track all by yourself.
There's a video out there showing Leah Keen or Pat Long maybe driving a modern 911 in a race. It's startling how little movement there is with his hands. It's like he's driving down I-75 or something. Sometimes things look and feel fast because there's a lot going on and you're really working it. But it's faster to relax a little and let the tires do their job.

I try to avoid providing unsolicited opinions, but I'm not perfect in that regard. In this case, it seems like you're inviting some feedback?
If you're not inviting feedback, maybe you'd want to rephrase that comment/question above, or maybe I just read it incorrectly...
Anyway, if you do want an answer to that question, it is 'no'. Your hands still need a lot of work. Any coach worth their salt would tell you that you need to get better disciplined with your hands and grip on the wheel. This is not a joke, it's imperative. You probably also need to move your seat fwd, almost certain of that, but can't be fully certain without seeing a wider view. Lastly, from watching a only a few mins, jumping around, there's tons of turn-in understeer. That's a problem, IMHO. You need to drive your car as it's set-up, and you need to do a better job managing that. You're putting excessive heat in the tires and you'll find that their grip falls off rapidly if you keep that up. If I watched the whole thing, I could probably find a few more boxes to un-check, I'm guessing the few points I just made are a few too more than you care to hear already.

Why don't you send him a note and tell him how 9/3 is for losers?

Believe it or not, this approach gives the impression that you're not interested in constructive feedback. I'm not the only one left with that impression. Read the top post on this page as just one example

Given that Rennlist seems to be teeming with nothing but insecure, inexperienced Porsche lovers who don't appreciate awesome talent when they see it (or their egos can't stand the thought of admitting it), perhaps your talents would be better appreciated if you set up your own blog or better yet, driving school to help those less knowledgeable. As I understand it, Skip Barber is in bankruptcy, so the timing of this could be perfect!

Man, don't let these guys get to you sofa king, you are an awesome driver, as your video proves!
and I love the way you rebut all their words about "hand position" and "smooth" with videos of pro drivers driving just like you.
Keep on rocking!

To summarize this thread:
OP: Hey guys look how awesome I am.
Others: You are not as awesome as you think you are, and allow me to display my awesomeness in comparison.
OP: I'm still awesome.
Others: Your awesomeness leaves room for improvement.
OP: I remain unconvinced.
Torq5teer: You are ALL sooooo awesome.

Lol! Cunningham's law at work yet again! Why do you think he is using his finger tips at 0:32? I presume you have some advice for Mr. Raikkonen as well?

My advice for you is "You're an unproven amateur who has never posted a video where someone would say, that's great driving. Knock it off with the constant fingertipping and shuffling, when you're trying to learn how to get faster. You're giving up car control and being slower in the process."
But hey, you do you.
In all seriousness, I really hope you didn't think your posted lap on youtube would be considered fast. That comment was sarcasm, right?
I've never driven NYST, but do you have any times at Watkins Glen? At least I will have a frame of reference there.

I'll admit that the OP is either mentally handicapped or trolling, and I am not proud of either of those realities.
1. because I feel bad for the impaired
2. because I feel bad when I am successfully trolled
