250 degrees+ is not a huge deal according to a shop near me that services cup cars etc. They said the car will literally tell you if it gets too hot and to not worry. Obviously insane numbers can be worrisome, but around 275 degrees can be fairly normal on a track day with zero issues in these cars.
Yup, I agree. In pursuing this question with Jake of FSI and Lake Speed of Driven Lubricants a while back, Jake said that on-track they see oil temps of 275/280 if it's hot out and Lake said their Driven DT40 can handle temps up to 300 degrees for a "brief amount of time". I prefer oil temps in the 225-250 range as a max, but sometimes there's not much you can do, like when it's hot out and you're pushing. With my 3rd radiator and MantisSport 2L deep sump, I've done all that's available to be done, but my supercharger probably taxes the cooling and lubrication systems a little bit more than a NA car would.

Another oil thread?

About the OP, I just watched 1:17 of that first video and holy ***** is correct. What is up with those hands not being on the wheel? I hope I'm never behind someone driving like that. One misstep and you're spinning and I'm crashing into you.

Maybe disable the buttons ? They aren't really useful for anything and if you want to feel more analog you can always use the center consol pdk lever

I use a paddle wheel = problem solved.
I also don't use auto mode because it's not perfect- turn 7 Hallet known at the bitch. - pdk never gets right gear on its own...

It only takes 20 seconds of video to see that this is crazy! If you want some expert opinion, post this video on the Racing and DE forum and ask if anyone has some comments on that style. That would be interesting...

Have the same mount (I think) from Amazon, it attaches to the CD player.

What tires are you running? Seems like if you switched tires, or adjusted pressure you would be having much smoother laps and quicker times. I noticed there were a few times of understeer/plowing.

What's your alignment settings? It looks like you don't have enough camber up front or something so you get a lot of push on corner entry and have to compensate by booting the throttle to promote rotation. I suppose it's not ideal for time but if you're just out there to have fun, then by all means! (You're lucky to have a track where the marshals don't black flag you for intentionally breaking the rear loose)

Imo OP has missed his calling. Here he has unwittingly created the most compelling commercial I have ever seen for the 991 Turbo. All that is missing is a quick shot of the other driver glancing into his rear view mirror with the hint of a smile on his face. Fade ........
