Default 9A1 77.5 mm crankshaft and rods

Is the crankshaft in my 2011 Cayman base the same as the 2011 Carrera S 3.8? Also, are the rods the same? Contemplating a project and wondering what my options are...

Crankshaft 9A1.102.077.04 is common for the 997.2's MA1.01 motor (3.8L) and the 987C.2's MA1.20 & MA1.21 motors. There's another flavor crankshaft for the 997.2's MA1.02 (3.6L) motor though, not sure if it would work on the Cayman.

Your best bet with these types of questions is to get yourself PDF copies of the PET diagrams for both models, then compare actual part numbers for both models. Attached is the 997.2 version I download from the Porsche website some time ago, not necessarily the latest though.

Crankshafts are different between the 3.6 and 3.8,
3.6 actually has a longer stroke, 81.5mm vs 77.5mm
According to the Katalog^, looks like con rods are the same. (at least for the 997)
