Saw a product called topcoat, wondering if anyone recommends.
Also what wax do you recommend?

do you have a link or something? When I google topcoat....well...its pictures of fine gentleman in top coats. lol

If you're looking for durability and a time saver, then go with a ceramic clear coat like optimum gloss coat or Cquartz. i've heard good things about the SONAX ceramic clear coat also.

If you enjoy waxing your car, then go with a good carnauba/polymer blend. Collinite 476s is a very strong wax. Just keep in my mind, waxes last a few months, ceramic clear coats can last years.

And I do 95% of my washes with ONR +Wax. Love this stuff. the paint depth and shine it leaves is incredible.

Since I had my car paint corrected and added the CeramicPro nano coating, I've been using Adam's Guard and Gloss after every other wash. Does a great job. The CeramicPro obviously helps a lot, but I've also started using it on my daily driver (wash about every two weeks) and it's been great there too - nice deep shine, beads up and chases off water like crazy. It does get a little "sticky" if you use too much of it. Both cars are black so I've got a definate sickness!

Default Ducora topcoat

FD had this as recommended. Their newest product is F11 combo wax and protectant. I've PCA concours 20 years. I like this stuff--can be layered, used on multiple surfaces, great beading.

Wow, I always wondered how Collinite would work on a car's painted surface. I used that for marine purposes and was way impressed on how hard the wax was and how long it lasted. It reminds me of the old Simonize paste that you really had to work at. I always applied Collinite with an orbital or other electric tool.... lotsa work if you use your arms.

Zaino sealant for me!

Peace

You can't go wrong with anything from Meguirs or Mothers. Lots of other brands out there as well, and depending on your budget and level of **** retentiveness, and skill level, you can do some amazing things.

Everyone is going to have their favorite wax, mine is Klasse High Gloss Sealant glaze, it gives my black 911 a mirror like shine and that shine stays a lot longer than the traditional carnauba wax.

Mine after several coats of sealant glaze, notice my silver MB next to it.
