Mounting new tires - cost
Maybe it's the centerlocks, but two indys in the D.C. area quoted me roughly $350 to balance/mount new tires, and another $200 for alignment. That's half the cost of a set of new MPS4s. Crazy?

First of all, anyone that tells you you need an alignment after a tire change is stealing from you, unless you had wear that indicates a bad alignment.
From what I've seen, you don't need a different balancer to do centerlocks (balancers essentially treat all wheels like centerlocks).
25ish per corner (including disposal of the old tires) is probably closer to average.
I wouldn't take my car to those crooks for any work!

$25-$35 is typical price. If wheels are expensive you can try "Touchless" machines along with force Hunter balancing options for +$45 but not $350. 20" tires cost more to mount then 19". Watch for "old school" garage guys who would't care about expensive finish.

$100 for 4 tires.....really?
Anyone in NJ have a place to mount and balance tires for $25 a corner? I have two quotes. $50 a corner from my Porsche dealer and $35 from my indy.
$350 is outrageous.

I have a GTS as well with centerlocks and I use a very nice high-end shop to mount new tires. I just had a new set of tires mounted and they charged me $250 for mounting and balancing. $350 sounds a bit high but not unreasonable for a high-end tire shop that needs experience with centerlocks. Centerlocks are not simple and take experience to do properly. Not to mention the risk of marring up your rims. My shop even used black balancing weights to match the black rims. They also removed the adhesive from the old balancing weights without so much as a tiny scratch. Keep in mind, replacing one centerlock rim costs about $2200. So they need special care.

I just had my mp4s's installed and had alignment done at Truline in Bellevue, WA which is a very reputable shop. Total after taxes was 375 (~335 before tax). This also included the installation of 4 new tpm sensors & new valves/stems

Ship them to Lexus of Manhattan.
Sounds hilarious, but they'll mount on any make/model. I just don't know if they have the tools for centerlocks.
I drove into the city, dropped it off before work, picked up after work. $100 to get 4 mounted and a free day of NYC parking

my shop charges $25 per wheel and they have a corghi machine that is very easy on wheels.
That I feel is low for my area as the average is between $35 and $50. $350 is robbery.

Additional information... Hunter road force is horsesh*t. You can't put the type Gs or heat into tires using a road force balancer that you do on the street or even CLOSE to that of the track. Spoke to a Pirelli rep and Michelin rep last week who both separately said it's a waste of money and normal tire shops don't have the machines to replicate what an actual car goes through to make the cost of any additional 'road force balancing' worthwhile.
