Default Who has a 997.2 tune, fabspeed intake, IPD plenum, headers, etc

i picked up a 997.2 with a VR tune and I'm not happy with it. I get some ping at part throttle, I imagine they just bumped the timing and it's too much and the engine pulls it back. Current mods:
fabspeed intake
GT3 throttle body
IPD plenum
M&M headers and cats

i am looking for feedback on tuners, especially people with the same or similar combos. I don't need much more power, just want safe drivability. I am thinking of going with FVD as they work with M&M exhaust. The exhaust has the cats relocated similar to a 997.1, which may cause some tuning difficulty?

Thabks for the help!

I definitely loss some midrange after installing a gt3 oem center exhaust with gt3 rear bumper. Shortly after, I got a softronic tune. It pulls stronger from 3k-5k, regained the loss midrange, top end seems to be about the same maybe a little more but could very well be from added noise. I'm in Cali running 91 octane.

I have fabspeed cat-less headers, IPD Plenum, Fabspeed CAI, Fabspeed Center by-pass, and had the car tuned at Fabspeed on the dyno. I cannot be any more thrilled with the whole outcome. It was very easy, and they were professional! Love the final outcome!

I have FVD long tube headers and their 200 cell cats (which are located in the center muffler bypass pipes as you mentioned) on my '12 GTS with PSE as well as their tune for that setup. Never had a CEL or any drivability issues. Haven't had it dynoed so I can't offer any input on power gains but she runs fine.

I have a 2013 997.2 TT with a Shark Werks tune and am very happy with it. I am in Florida with 93 Octane and my car has greatly increased performance all the way through the rpm range. You can tell them your engine additions and they will program for your individual car.

I have a 997.2 C2S

Swapped out OEM Center muffler and replaced with sharkwerks x-pipes.
Swapped out OEM plenum intake distributor replaced with performance IPD Plenum
Installed EVOMSit ECU tuning software to take advantage of sharkwerks x-pipe and IPD plenum
Also purchased EVOMSit TUNEit Gen 2 download and install tool - stores the stock software setup and EVOMSit tune. Software also installed on home computer and tuning files synced with EVOMSit server.

EvomSit's professionals, experience, and communication was great. The ECU tune seems to have pulled all of the above modifications together.

Thanks for the kind words! I hope you've been ripping around and enjoying yourself this season. Let me know what track days you're going to, maybe we can hit one together.

997.1 here with headers, X pipe with 200 cell cats, Cargraphics mufflers, EVOMS intake and IPD and GT3 TB. I have the FVD tune and am happy with it. Car got zippier on the low end. It feels great. FVD is also very helpful.

Thanks,
Mark

Great vid on tuning..... Steve Dinan

He notes that advancing timing is not only worthless, but damaging.

Peace

Awesome, I have an almost identical set of bolt on mods (+fabspeed CAI) but not the ECU tune! Did you add the EVOMSit last? Would you be willing to share what differences you noticed?
