I sort of know about this since I bought all the equipment and put my sons in that business. The only thing it destroys is glue on tags. Rubber hoses, wiring etc all gets cleaned. They have done some neat work for some of the custom car shops around. Non abrasive so can even clean painted surfaces, no damage.

Once the dry ice blasting is complete what is done to protect the metal and aluminum alloys on the undercarriage from future corrosion?

Nice looking engine bay. One suggestion, look into Extreme Simple Green® Aircraft & Precision Cleaner, much friendlier on all that aluminum.
