Something missing in my Frunk???

2009 C2S

Anyone with a 997.2 have something in here? It looks like a mount of some sort.

Just livin' the dream and feedin' the paranoia.

Peace

Mine has exactly the same nothing mounted as yours.

What is this pressure gauge for?

semicycler 04-03-2017 01:48 PM

On the 997.1 C2S coupe that bracket holds the top of the carbon canister. The navigation DVD drive and the CD changer stack where your tire gauge is sitting. The front of the compartment has a removable panel too (vertical surface facing the frunk). Embossed on that cover is "CD Changer" on the left of the handle, and "DVD Navigation" on the right of the handle. And the pipe up top is an AC vent pipe to cool the electronics in the frunk.

Don't you mean junk?

Oh yes I went there!!

Petza914 04-04-2017 10:24 AM

I keep my tool kit, tire plug kit, my old replaced serpentine belt, and a spare quart of oil in that cubby since I don't have the CD changer or Nav system. Works perfectly for those.

First off: Nuke all of you who are offended by my patina. I drive my car. Further, having Doritos crushed down between the seats is a safety item... I will survive trapped in a roll over far longer than any of you Felix Ungers.

That so called junk includes tire repair stuff that I have no idea how to use. So there!

wow...do you own or have shares in Dorito's company?

max540i 04-04-2017 02:53 PM

oh boy ... i'm a relatively new member of the forum, but i'm guessing that's not a typical look for a 911 (full leather no less) interior, :nono:, however, in the spirit of forum harmony, i guess one should try not to be judgmental ... :-)

Oh my god.

I drive my car too...I've put 1500 miles on it since I bought it six weeks ago...but I would lose my mind if it got messy like that. And I never eat any food or use any non-locking drink containers in it either.

But I like to keep my cars super clean and tidy...shrug..

Could never understand people keeping the old belt as a replacement. It seems to be a part the fails infrequently but for $30 you can let a new one sit there and not deal with the dry rot failure that will soon happen after reinstalling.

Bruce your patina does not offend me, speaking i
As someone who washed his car only twice last year! :-)

As to the junk in your frunk I have that tire repair stuff too - I sometimes wonder if the spray can thingy will work after being in there for six years! I hope I never find out.
