Default Limit warning alarm

How can I disable or set the speed limit warning alarm. The alarm activates every time I exceed 75mph. I have tried the following: Setting the limit with the stock including checking and unchecking the activation box, resetting the the PCM through the radio and connecting with the ECU with my Durametric to inactivate the "limit" setting in the gauges section.

That might be one of the features that can be programmed and tied to a specific car key, like seat position, radio stations, climate control setting when you start the car, etc.

Look in the manual and after you have everything glset the way you want, including the speed limit warning deactivated, before turning off the car, follow the procedure to store thise settings to the key memory that's currently being used in the car.

Alternatively, you could just keep it under 75 mph - LOL

This is available via the stalk. Push the lower left switch handle forward to access the sub menus. Move up or down until you find the selection. You can turn the alarm off or set it for a different speed.

Wayne, I think he mentioned that he tried this both on the PCM and stalk, but it keeps returning to being active which is why I thought maybe its programmed to the key and keeps reactivating itself when he unlocks the car, the same way it resets the seat position (if stored).
