Default Would you be interested in a hybrid 911?

According to Thomas Krickelberg, Porsche’s Model Line Director, “We are prepared if we have to do [hybrid] but we are not convinced that we should.” There's more on the front page.

I'd wonder about the extra weight, but it would likely make them even quicker off the line...

I would consider it if there is not a weight gain over 997.2.

That would be ideal, for sure. Likely pretty tough to pull off.

I'd give it a test ride, but it'd have to be great to make me move off my 997.2 S. Now, if I commuted, and a hybrid 911 gave me access to a HOV or similar reduced-traffic express lane, then that'd be cool...T

I think one will eventually be offered. Probably just to bring up their average MPG in the line up.

Would I want full-torque-at-stall-speed, sled-like center of gravity, any "engine" sound that I choose, same silhouette as in 1964, screamer, or an EPA friendly, world-shaking, two cylinder, one liter, quad supercharged, 300 BHP dinosaur? Hmmm.

My instinct is to to say no but the 918 and La Ferrari changed a lot of minds. Engineering conquers all.

An electric Porsche will happen one way on another. Germany wants to ban internal combustion engines by 2030.

Bring back the normally aspirated 911.

Not interested in anything hybrid or electric. Ever.

Not interested in turbo engines or automatic transmissions either.
