.
- 90 sec interview (in Cantonese?) with no English subtitles
- Followed by 2 mins of garden variety track day shots
So I don't think it quite meets the quality threshold (see also post #55). But thanks again.
Karl.

Car and Driver have published their annual Lightening Lap times for 2019 at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) - https://www.caranddriver.com/feature...ning-lap-2019/
This year they ran a 991.2 Carrera T and a 991.2 GT3RS. Here's how they and other Porsches (including the 997) have stacked up over the years...

Here's Roger Bailey's video review "Is now time to buy ? Porsche 911 997 GTS". Not many subscribers to his channel so not sure if it passes the post #55 guidelines. Roger claims to be a former F1 driver, presenter, and auto journalist but I don't know him.

I hardly view this as an exhaustive road test, but it is useful for all the newbies who come on here asking what makes the GTS special. He covers many of the unique GTS features and largely spares the audience his personal opinions. Worthwhile for this forum.

But back to the man himself. I did a bit of Googling and it seems there are two different Roger Baileys, both from the UK...
There's this Roger Bailey who was 1) First non-Italian race mechanic on the factory Ferrari F1 team; 2) Engine Builder at McLaren; 3) IMSA’s Technical Director and more - https://www.motorsportmagazine.com/a...3/gordon-kirby
Pretty impressive career...
And then there's this Roger Bailey who produced that GTS video - https://www.rogerbaileyoncars.co.uk/
I can find next to nothing about him.
Peculiar...

What I can tell you from having been on staff at R&T (ad sales) in those days, they were intent on not being abusive to manufacturer's cars by launching them at high rpm's and dropping the clutch in search of a low number. There was, at the time, an unspoken effort by the buff books to produce the lowest numbers...a competition of sorts. Car and Driver, on the other hand, would abuse the car with the intent on securing the best 0-60 and 1/4 mile times the car could offer...car be damned. I came aboard Automobile with DED Jr. in '91 and spent 9 amazing years with David (ascending to the Assoc. Publisher role and later launching the digital magazine Winding Road with David...) and David accepted the manufacturer's performance claims as he felt that that data was very accurate, particularly in a time when falsified manufacturer data (were they found to be optimistic) was crucified in the press. Working with manufacturer's advertising agencies, I often had to suffer through individuals who managed advertising budgets and placements who (brilliantly) proclaimed that we (at Automobile) did not do road tests, therefore new car purchasers did not read the magazine. Ugh....
