I'm mostly using the driver to gauge the general size of the car and unless he's particularly short this prototype looks darn big to me.

Didn't the 991.2 just release....I'm surprised the 992 is already leaking in the spy photos...

I'm very impressed with the 991.2 from the reports we are hearing and seeing.

Expensive for sure but very good reviews by my neighbors up the block...

They are really moving in the wrong direction with the rear spoilers, at least aesthetically. I can forgive if there is materially improved function, but the 991+ versions are hideous.

Doesn't matter what the 992 looks like, because they are stuffing two turbos and a 3.0 liter in the back. RIP NA...

I kind of like it, but kind of don't.

I'm reserving final judgement until the official pics are out and I can see one in the metal.

Like many here I grew up with the 911 as a dream car. As a young man, the 993 was a car I lusted after, but other priorities like buying home and starting a family got in the way. Then came the 996, but it was just blah and the lust factor was gone. But when the 997 came along the lust factor was as strong for me as the 993. I've not felt the same gotta have it lust factor since. (Well, except for the 911R... ...however that's a dream that will probably never happen...)

As it's a camo'ed mule either that's what they had available to hand with the right sizing and offsets or they deliberately did it again just to be distracting and/or try different wheel designs?

I note the cabrio had the same difference in wheels front to rear as well so it's deliberate :-)

Love the wider front fenders + 964 style bumper (fender / hood / front bumper) lines.

The rear almost remind me of a baby 959 with that spoiler up and extending to the width of the car.

I'm pretty bad at photoshopping, but chopped the rear picture to get a better idea. Always fun to try to guess what the production model will look like!

The tail lights should look like the new panamera's and the 991.2's 3D / slanted and sleek look. Rear will still have the vertically slanted engine covers.

The rear diffusor / sat nav / camera is also covered up like the front of the car.

Now all you have to do is move the number plate down level with the exhausts and remove the stuck-on lamps above the plate and you'll get a much better idea of the final look (IMHO) :-)

I also suspect that the high level stop light is stuck on camouflage as well so the final rear end should look much cleaner....

Like it and don't mind the front.

You heard it from me first. The 992.1 will be the last of the true 911s.

I agree. They're hideous. As are the whole completely plastic rears.

I like the way the 991 drives but not the size or looks or all the Ecu powered needed to make you look like a better driver then you really are.
