I have a 997 that used to have a PCM but I removed it because I like the look of the central console without the big screen.

Since the car still has the original speakers, I was wondering about installing an amplifier+bluetooth module connected to them. Where would be a good location to install the amplifier? Ideally, it should have easy access to the speaker cables.

When I replaced my dash I found the amplifier bracket under the dash near the glove box.

Why not under the passenger seat like the factory amp? That’s where mine is.

Do you know the name of the 20-pin connector? I would like to buy a male one to connect the new amplifier.

Edit: I found the colors. Now it will be a matter of identifying which cable goes to which speaker. Do you know the color codes?

I've found the connector I need for just a few bucks on AliExpress (as a BMW Harman Kardon connector) but I would rather buy it from a more reputable source. Any ideas where to get it?

It’s been years ago but Crutchfield used to carry those brand specific connectors.
