Default 2006 997 ac not blowing through main vents?

I have a 2006 911 C4S and when I turn the AC on, and select it to blow through the main vents, it only comes out (lightly) through the vents against the doors. The main vents in the middle have zero airflow. If I select the defrost vents or the floor vents, it blows out fine. Any ideas?

maybe a stupid question, but did someone inadvertently move the rotary dial next to the vent to the "closed" position?

Yes, after opening up the dash and replacing the flaps inside the dash that control the direction of the air flow, eventually the local Porsche/Audi dealer figured out it was just a bad ac control module inside the car. They didn’t charge me the labor to replace the flaps, but still a frustrating encounter with them.

@jc12058 was that an expensive part? I may literally go to have that done shortly..... you mind sharing with me the part number or a link to what you replaced? Thanks!

I do not have the part #, but I think the ac control unit was about $1,000. Hope that helps!

This thread recommends replacing the AC control module when air does not blow through the dash vents. Does anyone know if this is referring to the control panel on the dash stack or the square metal AC control module??

Lol this happened to me the other week. I was fuming about having to get yet another thing fixed, and then I opened the vents.
