2009 997.2S stereo system sound cuts out
I have the bose with blue tooth but no navigation, thinking of going with the Sony or pioneer apple car play.
any other suggestions that are under $1000.
thought?

Kenwood, Pioneer, and Alpine are the three favorites. Since you have Bose you will also need a device to integrated into the optical bus in the car. NavTV makes one called a Most-H.U.R for the 997 https://navtv.com/products/NTV-KIT210/most-hur-997.html There are others out there. Be sure to budget the cost into our upgrade.
Another option is to ditch the Bose amplifier and remove the optical bus entirely. In this case you need a replacement amplifier, perhaps two to properly split the sound stage. And then the wiring gets a little more complicated. But the sound improvement is worth it. Price not so much.

After having a new Sony car ply system and NAV tv kit installed it is still loosing sound intermittently just like before and after spending $1300.
what else can be the cause of lost sound??
