Default Does a 997.2 GT3 rear wing fit 997.1?

I know the lights are a different shape but does anyone know if that effects how the rear wing fit the .2 vs the .1? Have my aerokit on order and may need to look into this. Not a huge fan of the 997.1 GT3 wing or any turbo variants.

Yes, literally plug and play. The lights do not make a difference in the decklid fitment. Even the snorkel locations are the same for the 997.1 and 997.2 GT3 decklids.

You may need to switch the fans and wire harness though. I do not know how they are coded. But even those should switch out plug and play.

problem is that rod's car is a 997.1 so the underside of the decklid (fan circle location) and the number of intake ports as well as their orientation don't match (997.1 has one intake port vertical arrangement while the 997.2 gt3 has 2 horiztonal ports in totally different spots then the 997.1 deck lid).

unless the bottom inner plate of the decklid/spoiler can be completely swapped out (maybe someone can chime if if they are welded or screwed together), then rodH may have problem having the 997.2 decklid to fit.

Someone is not using the correct vernacular... either you or Rodh.

The 997.1 GT3 and 997.2 GT3 have LITERALLY the EXACT same deck lid layout:

GT3 997.1

GT3 997.2

CARRERAS have different decklids between 997.1 and 997.2 and both are different than the GT3 variants of each generation.

but the GT3 lids are exactly the same.
