Default New adjustable lower control arm (LCA) design by SPC

Found this last week at SEMA. Talked to the engineer that designed them in the SPC booth. He said they are using a stiffer rubber inner bushing than the OEM 997 when comparing it to a standard non-adjustable OEM LCA. My guess is that the SPC bushing is close to the stiffer rubber bushing found in the GT3 LCAs. Seems like a good alternative to those that don't want to use the shim style LCA's. MSRP is close to their competitors, at just over $1k for the pair.

The comment in the press release about hydraulic bushings confuses me. Aren't Carrera center pucks hydraulic? If so you can't use this with Carreras without pressing out and swapping center pucks.

From what I can find, it seems like the hydraulic bushing were used on some of the Caymans and Cayennes. Over on the Cayenne forum, there are a couple of threads discussing whether or not to switch out hydraulic bushings for solid rubber. What I can't find is why Porsche decides to use hydraulics for certain applications, and solid rubber for others. Confusing indeed!

I hate to resurrect an old thread. But these seem to be for sale now, has anyone had an experience with them?

They have no caster control, which you will need going up to 2 deg. Otherwise looks OK. Hydraulic bushing (thicker) will be needed for most 997's.

Subscribed, I am needing to get a little more (around -.6) more camber in the back of my Boxster and I am looking at these.

They got here yesterday, that was fast! They look very nice. I am heading down to PBIR for an event tomorrow so I won't get these on until the next week or so, will report back. I'm putting them in the back of my Boxster and I just need a little (-.6) camber boost so the lack of caster offset in the central bushing shouldn't be a factor for me.

I just back from 3 days at Carolina Motorsports Park, and I got the new SPC arms installed about a week or so before. They are very nice, and they performed well and didn't lose their setting. I "pre" adjusted them to be around 8mm longer than the stock arms (which when installed with the eccentric camber bolt at max camber setting was giving me -1.9) and was able to go to -2.5 in back and still have some fine tuning adjustment room on the eccentric bolt.
