991.1 C2S vs 997.2 C2 ??
OK last question, then I buy a car...
Given my budget, I could get a 2006-2007 C2S or a 2009 C2
So what's the better choice?
This will be a summer daily with some track use.
As far a long term value the S would probably be the better investment
Am I wrong.....
Thoughts?

I know what you mean about the S with its red calipers, greater horsepower than a non-S, the S on the lid. But personally, if I had a budget that would get me a 997.2, I would buy it over a 997.1.
There is a document that describes all of the changes from 997.1 to 997.2. You need to search for it and read it. Then you can make an informed decision.

I'm gonna get blasted here, but 9a1 over the m97 all day, every day. Honestly, if you can tell the difference between an S and a non S you are either on a track or about to go to jail.

Burning Brakes
The .1 S has basically the same hp and tq than the .2 non S.
Regarding long term value, I believe the .2 will hold its value better than any .1

The HP differences on track are so minimal that it's a non issue as well. Around country roads the .1S will have a little more torque down low but not enough to make it night and day.
I'd say the 997.1s and 997.2 base are pretty similar and if you can get a 997.2 base with PASM you should. Otherwise the base ride is a little more harsh and 10mm higher. Or, you could just invest in some decent coil overs for it down the road.

The biggest advantage of 997.1 C2S:
PASM especially if you have DSC box. + probably around $5k-7 cheaper.
The biggest advantage of 997.2:
Engine.
All depends on particular ownership, service history, and overall condition.

2009 actually get pcm 3.0. It is touch screen hard drive based. When it came out in 2009 was a little behind. Now it is way behind.
Navigation destination input by address only? Was old school years ago.
With some modification can do A2DP streaming. But can not control phone very well through it except phone calls.
Still not like car play or androids version.
