Default Looking for this style wing for the 997

I am looking for any details of what this is, sources for the product, whether if would fit a 997.1 C2S?

Any detail is much appreciated.

This is a 996 example. Looking for this for a 997

Getty Design makes these two which look similar. Lid can be made for any 997 engine variation.

That's going to be a tough question. When you get a wing, it normally replaces the whole engine lid. I don't know if the 996 and 997 have the same opening, but I'd bet the the odds are slim.

Yes, it does replace the whole lid and there are minor differences between 996 & 997 vehicles so fit might be problematic.

That wing looks great though.

That's a 996.2 GT3 wing. I doubt it will fit the 997 unless you do some serious mod to it. Only wing that come close to it is the 997 GT3 RS & GT3 like JCD911S mentioned. Just remove the winglets & it'll come close...LOL

That is a Getty Design "Pedestal" wing and is made specific for the 997.

According to their website its $1,199 and made of FRP.

Bingo. It does look like the Getty wing without the end plates. I'll contact them to discuss it. As always a great source of information.

Guys enjoy the Holiday weekend!

I spoke with Mark at Getty Designs. The wing in my original post is a 996 only fitment. The two that JCD posted are excellent 997 options. I'm just waiting for some additional pictures and dimensions from Mark.

Shameless plug for a great guy ~ The priming service they provide seems extensive and would be hard to match by any paint shop for anything close to the same price.

The 996.2 Aerokit wing is nice. I like mine. It will look good on a 997.

The 996.2 Aerokit wing you have on your car is my runaway favorite but after speaking with Mark at Getty it will not fit the 997 without a lot of modification.
