Default 997.2 steering wheel on a .1...a Q...

i have no horn now, is there a ring of some kind that i need to complete circuits, i have searched but don't seem to have the right wording to get what i am looking for, and it does seem there is something missing, i have heard of installations where there just is a working horn setup, but not this time....... as always, tia, kk

Those who have a working horn had the MF steering wheel option.
What you need to do is go to your Porsche dealer and have them activate MF with the Piwis computer. Don't bother with durametric, doesn't work with that.

You'll get a lot of replies soon saying you need this and that part. Try the piwis route first.
If you have a good relation with your Porsche dealer they just might do it for free. Mine did.

Did you install the 997.2 steering module ? A 997.1 module will not get it to work unless ur car is an 08 (where there is a chance you ended up getting an 09 steering module)

the newer steering module is what you need (the unit behind the wheel that all the steering stalk controls come out of).

go through the previous steering wheel threads to get the exact part number of the newer module. then you will need to find someone with a piwis/durmaetric pro to tell you which steering module part number you have (most likely the older one), if you already have the newer one then you just have to change one setting to get the horn to work.
