This is a picture of my shifter under the boot. Could I borrow you guys knowledge if I have short shifter or not? I feel little bit of free play when it's in gear. Is this normal?

I have it and the same blue part which if I recall means short shift kit. Some play is to be expected from my experience. I changed out the plastic for function firsts shift right solution and changed the gear oil to PTX. That made the shifting more precise, less 1st gear cold shifting issues and now no longer need to double clutch or wait until the car warms up to experience easier, smoother shifting.
