First 911...997.1 C2S and already thinking of going to 997.2 GTS
Only had the first car a few weeks and I can see how the 911 experience can be addictive.
Other than losing some money on 997.1 C2S....will a 997.2 GTS be a premium upgrade worth $25K....my car has 28K mi and the GTS has 37K mi.

Highly subjective. Some will say no way....that's a crazy trade for small gains. Others will tell you the GTS is a special edition of the 997, built in limited numbers so get one if it appeals to you. The alcantera interior and center lock wheels seem to be the most discussed differences for some reason. I like the CL wheels except for the wimpy factory offset that can only be fixed with aftermarket wheels. For me though, the coolest differences are the X-51 kit which not only adds 23hp but also makes a nastier exhaust note and the fact that the GTS is the only widebody 997 with RW drive except for the GT3RS.

I remember the first time I saw a white wide body 993 C2S, with the split rear spoiler. That's how I feel about the GTSes, too.

That's a pretty quick flip. Have you identified a GTS in your ideal spec? If not, keep driving the S until then. $25 K is a lot to pay for 25 hp & alcantara IMO, but if you can get into a newer car as well and one you'll like to drive even more, that's not too shabby. I'd also test drive a GTS similar to one you'd eventually like to buy, to make sure your smile goes from wide to wider. Good luck. Excellent "problem" to have...T

I decided after driving the GTS I just had to have it....its an amazing difference. I'm very pleased and the PDK vs the TIP is night and day.
$66,500 with a 2yr CPO. Not bad considering the only thing I wanted it doesn't have was heated seats.
The 997.1
Then went to the dealer.....
For a Guards Red GTS.

Red+aero plus went from a tip to PDK thats worth the upgrade....
nice car, congrats... gauges are black, wonder if that was special order like that as thought all were stock silver like the S cars?

GTS has black dials as standard. Anything else is an option/special order.

Fine looking 911's in this thread - the GTS aero red especially.
I test drove a 997 Turbo 6 speed, a 997.2 GTS (the red one here looks a lot nicer) and a 997.2 PDK Turbo. Surpisingly I preferred the sound and feel of my 997.1S over all these cars - replacing it doesn't make sense then.
