Default What garage floor paint did you use?

About to install cabinets in my garage and will paint the floors beforehand. My last garage I used an epoxy based floor paint that looked great but after time the hot tires melted the epoxy paint and had 4 exposed concrete areas.

Anyone have recommendations on Mfg/Brand and any pics of their garage floor?

I used the rustoleum 2 part epoxy garage floor paint. I did the prep exactly as the directions say, on a 30 day old new slab. 3$1/2 years later it still looks like I did it last week.

Thanks for the pic and it does look like new, I did not use Rustoieum last time so maybe that is better than the Lowes brand I used. Here is the best pic I have showing the my floor, it probably didn't help that I performed several engine drops on it with every kind of car liquid spilling onto it.

It's more about the prep work than it is about the actual catalyzed epoxy product.

Or have a pro do it. Figure about $5/sq.ft.

Professionally prep'ed is paramount, even a DIY. Epoxy, tri-color and clear sealer!

Went my friends house yesterday to look at his race-deck floor which he loves but pretty pricey.

A LOT less Expensive than you think, especially if you're in certain car clubs, Porsche, Viper, etc... you can get a pretty big Discount. If the OP has any questions you can PM me. Here's a Pic of one side of my garage before & after. Very EASY to install & drains very Easily if you want to wash it down.

Thanks for the pics! your garage looks amazing also. Im really starting to lean towards race-deck, my friend I posted of his garage went in on a group buy with his 993 buddies and thinks he can still get me a good buy on it through it.

COSTCO has Moto Floor (like Racedeck) on sale several times a year. I have used it in two of my garages and it works well. Another option to consider.
