Stunning. I love that car! Our project is a bit more 'back-dated', but I will steal some of those ideas for a future project. I will post more shortly. Car is at the painter! Wait till you see the result!

Wait till you guys see the new tail. As for carbon roof - see above. Too modern - next project.

A small teaser - we are painting the mirrors gloss silver to replicate the old chrome look - with a satin base.

As a fellow modder, I'm excited to follow the progress here - subscribed

I do love that PLAYHRD" car though (bodywork, stance, seats, etc) - everything but the wheels, just not my style, but to each their own. I would've looked at a Cup style or Speedline type from the 3.6 964 Turbo, or maybe a RUF.

Love that Champion car too.

Took a pic of it when visiting with Tom down there one day, and it's what led me to their RS171 wheels that have a similar shape where the rear hub area curves out to have the split spokes meet the rim face. Then I had them polished and cleared.

Money no object I would but a 3.8 GT3 motor in there, kevlar/carbon panels with sunroof delete, magnesium rims, ipad pro in the dash and huge ceramic brakes. Get it down to 2600 or so and just enjoy it.

Car is back from the paint shop! ... and no, it is not Gulf Racing Blue.

Cafe9 - Project Alice

Not easy to show the colour using a mobile phone. When closer to complete, I will organize professional shots.

Behind the scenes we have been busy with a lot of other parts. I will start posting pictures and detail shortly.

So about the colour. We wanted a classic colour, but have on purpose not used something seen before. We chose a light Pastel Blue with added hints of green and purple, so somewhere between the 70s IROC colours and the Gulf cars. As the project moves on you will get the idea (hopefully).

The wing is special. Will post some pictures soon. It is a modern take on the Duck with a bit of ears

More to come...

digging the color and the wing, more please..... one of the best threads in 6 months..... something different!!!!

please pics of rear deck lid closed!!! if its a Duck twist like wing would love to see some neat FUCH like style wheels but something unique. How about some Rotiform FUCHs? No one has put them on a 997.... below wheels in all black.

Thanks
steve

Looks like the base of a TT wing and decklid with the centrally located fan and dual air intake openings. The upper wing would normally nest above those curved sides - never seen one without the top hydraulics holes filled and no upper blade - that could be cool ... or I could be wrong

Keep the pics coming.
