Default Will a 996 Aero Wing and Deck lid fit a 997.1 ?

Looking for confirmation whether a narrow body 996 wing and lid will fit the 997.1 S narrow body. Good or bad experience welcome to help me understand how easy or difficult this would be.

TY

Not sure but I do have an old MK1 996 taco wing less the adjustable wing. I could take some measurements if you'd like.

Thank you! I'm not sure what the reference points should be. If it's close by measure front to back. side to side of any mounting holes or posts where it would attach to the lid.

I dont think it would fit without some serious madification. I said madification hahaha. If the base lid would work then yes, but I dont think it will.

When the 997 was introduced, it was said that the only panel that was carried over, was the roof.
Everything else was new so without measurements to confirm, I would say no.

I can get them over the weekend. I'll post them up.

Thanks WC11.

Sometimes it is absolute madification but with a happy ending! Planted Seat bases did not allow me to adapt the 997 to OMP harness compatible sport seats without hitting my head on the roof. Then I found my friend who builds off-road chassis has a Plasma cutter. A few days later we madified some 3/16 plate steel into a new base design with mounts to clip 3pt belt and lap belts onto.

Appreciate any measurements you can provide to put this to rest.

Did you get a chance to gather any measurements?
Your name sounds familiar...Did you upgrade the Bose to Focal speakers a few years ago?

I'm sorry BF....I forgot all about it. I spent the weekend cutting grass, grilling on the Weber and consuming libations. I will get the measurements tonight and post them tomorrow. Regarding the speakers, nope not me but it is concerning that there could be another one of me running around.

I believe the location of the air intake is different. Not sure about the rest of the geometry. But there will be some non-trivial modification required, at a minimum.

you guys correct me but the 996 engine intake was on the left driver side, and the 997 has duel intakes on both sides.

OP what are you trying to do that getting a 997 deck wouldn't fix?

The intake for the 996 and 997.1 are both on the left. 997.2 has twin intakes coming from the airbox.

This is a view from the underside of the MK1 Taco wing. Let me know if you need more dimensions.

SneakyPete Perfect, exactly what I need. When I return home I'll compare these to my 997 deck lid. I appreciate your time in taking these.

r6elmo There is a particular 996 wing that I really like and don't often come across that is fitted to a 996 deck lid. Rather than modify it or my lid to mate up I was hoping to find that that the current wing & 996 lid would fit my car with no or minimal modification.
