Sand -Debri Accumulation rear fenders
Just for situational awareness, aparently that small mud guard in the front of the rear fenders can trap good amount of sand-debri. Remive mine today to paint a small scratch in the rear running board. Im guessing they never been removed before. With no exaggeration, theres at least 1.5 inches of sand acuumulated in there.

Same thing I noticed with my car when I went to clean the liners. My problem was rocks get caught in there and start trapping sand. Was nearly full!

Looks similar to mine when I removed the wheelarch liners a couple of months back to clean… I was surprised to find several inches of caked fine dirt/ sand.
While the body was rust free, several of the clips holding the protective guards on each side that extend forward to the jacking points had rusted badly. One I had to remove completely, the other I recovered with rust treatment.

It's better than the rocks that get stock in lover back air intake rocker panel on the c6 z06. They grind between the fender and lower rocker chipping the paint off... Because you know GM engineering back in the day...
